1. SOUNDTRACK OF THE DAY
Some traditional Thai music I found on Youtube. I'm fond of Youtube. Watching the dancing, the sounds, the clothing and thai instruments. There's also a story without words in the video.
Bangkok - I looked on Youtube and at first I just got videos from tall buildings or top 10 city tourist attractions. Not what I had in mind. Then I found this one. It focus on people moving and living their lives in the big city. Unpretensious but we can imagine walking on the streets and mingle with that people. Here's another one with sounds and colors of the city. That's more like it.
3. PEOPLE TO DISCOVER
Issey Miyake - Japanese fashion designer. He is known for his technology-driven clothing designs, exhibitions and fragrances.
"I did not want to be labeled “the designer who survived the atomic bomb.”

David Hockney - English painter, draughtsman, printmaker, stage designer and photographer.

Hockney was 72 years old in 2010 when he said that thing about flowers. He's amazed by the Ipad possibilities to make drawings. Reading about it ...and smiling!
4. QUESTION OF THE DAY
5. INSPIRATION
INSPIRATION1
I don't have iPhone or Android mobile phone. That's right. A smartphone is not a priority for me. Why? First because my mobile phone is still working. Shall I buy a smart one and throw that stupid away? Second, I really don't have the money for it. Third, I think that if I had a budget I would prefer to buy an ipad, a tablet. I can see why I need a tablet. Myy laptop is big and I don't feel confortable going around with it under my arm...And I have a new argument - I could draw flowers every day and send them to my friends so they get fresh blooms every morning...

6. HANDS ON
I take lots of photos as a way to keep record of things for the future. At first I wanted to take photos of things. Now I feel that things want to be photographed. It's not just for creative work purpose. I have a terrible memory. One day many years ago I started to carry a camera with me. A simple one. A small one. Nothing fancy. Also since the moment I started to carry a camera I really begun to look at things I didn't see before. This is a good exercize to anyone. Not just for designers. It's just like what is said by the instructors in the video of the day:

Art for Free
They dropped into the inboxes of his acquaintances -- direct, lyrical images of flowers and landscapes seen through his bedroom window. This was art for free, which is radical in itself. The art market has worked out ways to charge even for conceptual art, but so far not for these images.
“I draw flowers every day and send them to my friends so they get fresh blooms every morning,” Hockney told Bloomberg last April. “And my flowers last!” These were executed with his thumb on the iPhone screen. “Who would have thought that the telephone would bring back drawing?” he said.

I'M WITH STUPID
But...
...a lot of people id trying to convince me that I should. Like 30 things you no longer need because of smartphones! NEED. There are many things we think we need but in fact we don't need. And, by they way, smartphones and mobile phones in general, still need to be better on one tiny detail. They only work when the battery is full. So don't you just go and throw away all this old school stuff, you might need it!

If I go around the world with a camera I see different things. The world is the same but I see things differently. Because if I have a camera I become sensible to a number of features normally invisible to me...What's in this? A shopping mall. A graffiti on the wall - I buy, therefore I am. And then, a sweet surprise. In a coffee shop at the shopping mall I found a cake I love. It was my favorite as a child. It's called "tíbia". The first one I ate in maybe 20 years or more. Yummy!
